1812. SLESVIG. Very interesting letter sent from Lübeck to Francomont and dated Novembre 26, 1812. Cancelled 128 LUBECK B. DE L'ELBE. It was during the period where Lubeck was a part of the French Empire (1810-1814) and the letter was therefore sent inside the empire. The postage due was 7 decimes, marked with ink on the front 7, and it was paid by the receiver in Francomont. 7 decimes was the postage due for a distance of 400-500 km.
